Our Team
Jacquie Leslie Principal Associate, Architectural Technologist DIP AT Toronto

Jacquie has over 40 years of Canadian and international architectural project experience, specializing in building science, construction administration, project management, and quality assurance. Her architectural method blends the practice’s design, function, and technical aspects, resulting in high-performing, aesthetically pleasing buildings for working, living, and learning.

Based out of our Toronto studio, Jacquie fosters an atmosphere of collaboration and excellence in every project she works on and team she works with. She has played an instrumental role in realizing several high-profile DIALOG projects including the Calgary Cancer Centre, the Calgary International Airport, a LEED® certified project, and currently the New Patient Tower at Toronto Western Hospital. She brings extensive experience during the planning and design process, leading the drawing production, coordination with the sub-consultant teams, and administration of the construction contract on the project site. Jacquie has created and nurtured a culture of mentorship, cultivating the “Learn One, Do One, Teach One” philosophy within our studio.

If you could work a ‘day in the life’ of another discipline at DIALOG, whose would it be?
I am secretly a structural engineer in disguise. I enjoy working with the structural team to bend the rules of engineering, to think of new and exciting ways to breathe new life into building structures.

What’s your favourite pastime?
I practice what I preach. In my spare time, I build and renovate homes.

What’s one skill (outside of work) that you’d like to learn?
I would love to learn how to play guitar. Playing guitar around the camp fire would be an achievement.

Learn something new every day.
